The Glossary of Geologic Terms web site is the work of Dr. Steven Richardson, a professor of geology at Iowa State University.  This glossary is based on the glossary in Earth: An Introduction to Geologic Change, by S. Judson and S. M. Richardson (Englewood Cliffs, NJ, Prentice Hall, 1995).
