UT Geology Begins

J.W. Beede 1871-1940
Ph.D. University of Kansas

During his short stay with the BEG he published several papers on the Paleozoic era of Texas.

He was expected to follow J. A. Udden as State Geologist but moved into industry.

Many of Beede's collections are housed at NPL.
