"When volunteering at the non-vertebrate paleontology lab, I enjoy working on whatever projects and regular tasks could use the extra help. As an undergraduate of the Jackson School of Geosciences at UT, working at the lab while taking Paleobiology and other geology courses allows me to become more familiar with what I'm actually learning about in school. Plus, here I occasionally run into more rare specimens I may not have seen before in class. So many interesting things to see, it's like working in a big treasure box!"
