The Crew-Archive of The Crew-

Joan Crane

Joan joined us in 2000 and has been our preparator ever since. Each Monday morning she will tackle the endless tasks that stack on her bench. Hours may be spent removing matrix to reveal beautiful specimens for exhibit. Many more are spent repairing specimens and cleaning incoming field collections. She produced a wonderful teaching series both cleaning and identifying the specimens for us. Joan is an active member of the Paleontological Society of Austin and particularly interested in Cretaceous sea urchins.

Comment: Joan even managed to find time to join in the Mass Inventory along with her husband, Frank.
