Molly Hageman
Molly volunteered with us for over a year. She worked in the Non-vertebrate Paleontology Collections on a regular basis, twice each week. Her work was exemplary and her interest in the whole museum world was evident from the very beginning.
Her assignments involved run of the mill checking and handling of loan returns, tedious cutting of inert foam to line drawers and specimen trays, cleaning of grimy antique drawers to put into our new exhibit, and the location and setting of hundreds of specimens into foam beds as part of that new Discovery Drawer exhibit.
Her attention to detail and artistic flair became clear in that exhibit project; she produced some wonderfully designed and orchestrated drawers for the exhibit.
Comment: Molly went on into the
Interdisciplinary Graduate Program in Museology at
The University of Washington.
