Kathleen Howard

"I am cataloging the gems and mineral specimens in the east cage at this time. I have been doing this an average of about 2 half days a week for over a year. I've completed the inventory of well over 100 drawers, probably close to 200. I have found many, many interesting things, minerals, ore samples, core samples, building stone samples and other things too numerous to list. Some are beautiful, some odd but never is it boring. Just when you think you've seen it all, the next drawer is something(s) amazing. On a personal note, I have a degree from UT Austin in Geology and a Master's degree in Geology from Sul Ross State University. I've taught some Geology and have worked with well logs."
