Vertebrate Paleontology Laboratory: Collections
The Midwestern State University Collection (in part)
This collection of several thousand specimens was made principally by the late Dr. Walter W. Dalquest over several decades. It contains numerous type and figured specimens, and it has formed the basis of many scientific publications. Following Dr. Dalquest's retirement, much of the Tertiary portion of his collection was transferred to VPL, while the rest remains in the Biology Department at Midwestern State University.
