Vertebrate Paleontology Laboratory: Collections

The Navajo Nation Collection

Work undertaken in collaboration with the Seba Dalkai School of the Navajo Nation, and under permits granted by the Navajo Nation, has led to a growing collection of Early Jurassic vertebrates from northern Arizona. These collections are being held in trust for the Navajo Nation, while they are being studied by VPL personnel.

The hind limb of the dinosaur Dilophosaurus wetherilli, still in its field jacket, collected during a collaborative expedition by VPL faculty and students, and Navajo Nation Eco-Scouts.
