Whats a Moonlight Prowl? The Moonlight Prowl is a nighttime campus tour packed with anecdotes of student life, history, and all sorts of UT lore. These stories have been discovered in newspaper accounts, professors memoirs, or among the countless boxes in the University archives. The Prowl is intended to help "personalize" the University, explore a little of its history, and have some fun. How much is admission? Its free. The Moonlight Prowl is something done for fun. Think of it as a hobby thats gotten out of control. How do I register for a tour?Choose "Register for the Prowl" from the main prowl page, fill out the form it takes you to, hit the submit button, then wait for email confirmation. Pretty easy, huh? Where do the Prowls begin? There are several versions of the Moonlight Prowl, and each one begins at a different location on the UT campus. Once youve registered for a tour, an e-mail confirmation will include the place to meet. Is there a rain plan?If at all possible, the Prowl will go on as scheduled. If its actually raining at Prowltime, or if rain is imminent, well reschedule our tour for another time TBA. What do I wear? All Prowls are BLACK TIE FORMAL. Well, if you want to. The Prowl is a (mostly outdoors) walking tour of the University campus, so check the weather and dress comfortably. Do I need to bring anything?Just yourself. Ill bring the Official Prowl Flashlight (OPF). Can children attend the Prowl? The Moonlight Prowl is open to everyone, but parents should be cautioned that the little ones get bored quickly, and would rather run down the South Mall or jump in Littlefield Fountain. Parents sometimes spend more time chasing after their future athletes, and miss out on the tour.
