QuickTrip Online Reservations
You can make travel reservations online through QuickTrip. QuickTrip is a secure, customized online booking tool for business travelers within The University of Texas System, and it allows you to view airline schedules and fares, rental-car rates, and hotel information for planning and budgeting purposes. It also lets you make reservations with a reduced travel agency service fee of $18.00.
When to Use QuickTrip
Use QuickTrip to plan simple, roundtrip domestic itineraries — if you’re planning a more complex trip, we recommend that you submit an online request or call to one of the university’s contracted travel agencies.
How to Use QuickTrip
- Visit the QuickTrip Web site (EID required)
- Log on to QuickTrip with your user ID and password, or create a new user ID and password if you’re new to QuickTrip
- Create a QuickTrip user profile for yourself if you don’t have one already
- If you are planning travel for someone else, designate yourself as his/her travel arranger, and make sure he/she has an established user name, profile and password
- Search for flights, rental cars or hotels, and follow prompts to make reservations
- Important: you must complete an electronic Request for Travel Authorization (RTA-VE5) and get the document approved prior to ticket issuance
