Description: The Music and Entertainment Committee and the University Co-op proudly present: 40 Acres Fest 2009 with Clap Your Hands Say Yeah! CYHSY is a great band with an incredible, unique sound. They've sold out Stubb's, headlined Fun Fun Fest, and we are honored to be presenting them to you for this FREE show.
Clap Your Hands Say Yeah is a Brooklyn-based group, not only known for its passionate, inspired music, but also for redefining the art of do-it-yourself record production and promotion. The quintet emerged in 2005 with their self-titled, self-released and self-distributed debut album, Clap Your Hands Say Yeah. They're notable for being one of the first, if not the
BIGGEST group to become famous solely on the strength of the blogosphere, without any label support whatsoever.
UT Forty Acres Fest is THE biggest on-campus musical event of the year. It is not just a concert: It's an experience. Nothing is better than seeing a great show beneath the iconic UT tower with thousands of your fellow students. Come out and celebrate a great Spring and everything that makes UT what it is.
The show is completely FREE, and open to anyone and everyone.
