Film Projectionist

  • Department: Audio Visual
  • Description: This position with the Texas Union Audio/Visual department will be responsible for showing movies in the Texas Union Theatre using a wide range of film projection equipment.
  • Preferred Qualifications: UT Student. Experience working in a theatre environment performing projectionist duties to include film projection, build-up, tear-down, and some projector maintenance.
  • Hours: Schedule varies. Hours to be determined by film schedule.
  • Date Available: ASAP
  • Pay Rate: $7.50/hour
  • Requirements:
    UT or other college student registered for at least 6 credit hours for Fall 2009. • Must have prior 35 mm film projector experience. • Available evenings, particularly Thursdays, and weekends.

Student Assistant

  • Department: Building Management
  • Description: This position as a Building Monitor in the Texas Union has the purpose of assisting in building and patron security. Duties include frequent patrols of assigned building areas, escorting nightly deposits, and contributing to a shift report.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Retail or other customer service experience. Experience as a security guard.

  • Requirements:
    UT or other college student registered for at least 6 credit hours for Spring 2010. • Demonstrated excellent communication and customer service skills. • Experience using a personal computer. • CPR/AED certification (training provided). • Position subject to security screening. • Shifts Available: Sat & Sun: 5 hour shifts sometime between the hours of 10am & 3:30am
