“My BDP experience gave me the opportunity to get a well-rounded education in the different fields of digital media.”

How did your BDP experience influence your career path and interests?

My BDP experience gave me the opportunity to get a well-rounded education in the different fields of digital media. This is vital to being a media production manager, where you need to have competence in every aspect of digital media.

What do you value most about your BDP experience?

The creative project Connecting Experience was the most valuable part of my BDP experience. I really appreciated the opportunity to work with top faculty, such as Bruce Pennycook, and trying something new.

In what ways did an interdisciplinary education prepare you for what you are currently doing?

A balanced, multi-faceted education has been pertinent to my job as a media production manager. I have to know how to instruct my interns in everything from filming and editing to creativity and web design. I would not have been prepared for this without the Bridging Disciplines Programs allowing me (and requiring me) to take classes outside of my major.
