The BDP Student Cabinet acts as the student voice for the BDPs. The Cabinet works in collaboration with the BDP coordinator and advisors to organize community-building events, develop new initiatives, and brainstorm new ways of enhancing the BDPs. Jonathan Barcelo is the representative to the Student Cabinet for Film Studies.

Katie’s interests in writing and film led her to complement her Journalism degree with a certificate in Film Studies. This fall, she will be conducting research with Professor Howard from Radio-Television-Film on film festivals in the United States.
“I applied for the Film Studies BDP because I wanted to pair my journalism major with some film courses so that I could pursue a career in film criticism. The BDP offers so many unique classes, and I knew that I would get a well-rounded education in film history around the world through the Film Studies BDP.”
