How to Apply to the BDPs

We accept applications for the Bridging Disciplines Programs twice a year, during the Fall and Spring semesters.

Fall Application Deadline: October 24, 2008

Here's how to apply:

STEP 1:
Come to an information session with BDP advisors. Learn more about the program and the application process, and get a chance to ask questions.

STEP 2:
Fill out an application form (PDF, 127 KB) and write a short essay telling us about your goals for the program. We suggest that you read our Tips on Writing a Successful BDP Application Essay (PDF, 82 KB) before you begin writing.

STEP 3:
Turn in the application form and essay to FAC 33 by the application deadline. When you turn in your application, you’ll make an appointment to meet one-on-one with a BDP advisor, who will help you plan your BDP courses and possible connecting experiences.

The BDP faculty panel will review your essay and BDP coursework plan, and the BDP advisor will notify you about the panel’s decision.

Questions? Come by the BDP office in FAC 33 or call 232-7564 for more information.

Albert Palacios

"The BDPs are the most supporting, structured, and above all, rewarding when it comes to making undergraduate academics an in-depth experience, an experience that will not only help you expand your horizons, but will add value to your degree."
