Propose a Flag

ENTER THE FLAG PROPOSAL SYSTEM

Instructors should use the CCC’s online system to submit flag proposals for their courses. The proposal process is designed to help the faculty flag committee determine whether a course meets the criteria for that flag. Before you begin your proposal, please review the flag criteria. A single course may carry up to three flags, but a separate proposal must be submitted for each flag.

You will need the following information to complete your flag proposal:

  • The first semester you would like your course to be flagged.
  • Your course number and, if applicable, topic number.
  • Your course title and, if applicable, topic title.
  • Your UT EID and password.
  • Whether you want your course flagged at the course level or instructor level.

It is possible to save your work as a draft and return to it later if you determine you need more information. To make changes after you have submitted your proposal, you must contact our office at 512-471-5949.

For more information about completing proposals, or for examples of approved proposals, please see the proposal tutorials for each flag, linked on the right side of this page. You may also contact our office at ugs-flags@austin.utexas.edu with any questions you have about the proposal process.
