Undergraduate Studies oversees Signature Courses (UGS 302 and UGS 303) taught by faculty from other colleges and schools at UT.

First-year Interest Groups are cohorts of up to 25 first-year students who take two to four classes together and participate in a weekly seminar facilitated by a peer mentor and staff member.

Bridging Disciplines Programs offer courses for students enrolled in one of 11 interdisciplinary concentrations.

Undergraduate researchers may be eligible to receive course credit. Please review the guidelines to find out more.

Undergraduate Studies is responsible for the core curriculum and flagged courses offered by UT colleges and schools. Please visit the core requirements page for more information about which courses fulfill the core, or the current Course Schedule for a listing of courses satisfying the flag requirements.

If you are enrolled in Undergraduate Studies and interested in registering for courses, please visit our advising page for information about meeting with your advisor.

Students who fail to meet minimum passing standards are required to enroll in a course designed to strengthen skills in reading, writing, or mathematics. Please visit our Texas Success Initiative page for more detailed information.
