Undergraduates already enrolled in another college or school at the university should stop by the Vick Center for Strategic Advising & Career Counseling to discuss internally transferring to the School of Undergraduate Studies.
As a UGS student, you have four long semesters before you must declare a major. This rule applies to freshmen and transfer students, although transfer students are encouraged to decide on a major within their first year at UT. If you transferred into UGS from another college or school at UT after your first year, you can stay in UGS for two long semesters.
