The Jackson School of Geosciences First-year Interest Groups provide homes for new students: small groups within a large school within a larger university. Weekly seminars will focus on strategies for success in college and current research in geology. Students will have the opportunity to meet faculty, staff, and other students, participate in school functions, go on field trips and outings, make friends, and learn about the resources and challenges a large university has to offer. Talk to your advisor if you would like to sign up.
