The deadline to apply for the Fall 2010 FIG peer mentor position is Monday, November 9, 2009.
Are you interested in making a positive impact on first-year students? Do you want to help others avoid some of the mistakes you made during your first semester? Are you excited about guiding students through the challenges and adventures of college life?
If the answer is yes to all of the above, you should apply to be a FIG mentor. Please download and complete the application form and return it to the FIG Office by November 9, 2009. Use Adobe Reader to open the PDF so that the link to the online application works.
All students must complete the application process in full, even if they applied the previous year. New mentors must also submit two letters of recommendation.
FIG mentors must be in good academic standing and good disciplinary standing with The University of Texas to apply for and maintain the job. It is preferred that applicants have a 3.0 GPA.
Competitive candidates will be selected for an interview and emailed with further details. See the interview page for more information.
