To apply for the Residential FIG program, you must first apply for on-campus housing via the housing website.
- Once you have been accepted to UT, you will be eligible to receive a housing contract. Housing contracts are mailed to students beginning in December. They are sent out based on the student’s admission to UT, payment of the UT enrollment deposit and the date their application for housing was received.
- After you sign and return the contract, you will be given instructions for selecting your housing preferences online through the “My Housing” page. On the first page of this site, you will see “Sign Up for the Residential FIG Program” as one of the options offered under your contract.
- Once the FIG office receives your information, we will email you a confirmation of your acceptance into the program as well as information about your particular ResFIG and its associated class cluster. These emails are typically sent out at the end of May.
- When you come to campus for summer orientation, look in your schedule for a special Residential FIG Info Session on the second day at 4 p.m. At that time you will be able to ask questions and visit with others who are also participating in the Residential FIG program.
