The Center for the Skills & Experience Flags (CSEF) in the School of Undergraduate Studies (UGS) provides resources and support for the general education shared by all undergraduates at The University of Texas at Austin. Our goal is to facilitate delivery of the curriculum that helps our students become critical thinkers and informed, broadly educated citizens.
The deadline for instructors to propose a course to be flagged for summer or fall 2015 is December 16, 2014. The deadline for classes to flagged beginning spring 2016 is April 13, 2015. To submit a proposal please visit Propose a Flag.
The CSEF is pleased to announce the second two-day, intensive writing retreat for instructors of writing-flagged courses at the University of Texas at Austin. It will take place on December 10 & 11, 2014, at the Texas Union. Instructors from all disciplines are encouraged to submit applications by November 14th to attend the retreat, which will provide valuable professional development on teaching writing to undergraduate students.
