You are responsible for making travel arrangements to and from Austin. Whether you arrive by air, bus, or car, university staff members will meet you and escort you to Jester Center for registration. They will be wearing Honors Colloquium shirts and name tags. View directions to The University of Texas.
The Jester Center is located on the corner of 21st Street and Speedway (201 East 21st Street, Austin). Limited self-pay parking is available at the Brazos Garage for a special two-day rate of $20 allowing for garage access on both July 24 for check-in and July 26 for check-out. A special continuous three-day pass allowing for overnight parking is available for $30. Any participant driving to campus must leave the car in the garage for the duration of colloquium.
Note: To take advantage of the special Honors Colloquium parking rate, collect a ticket as you enter the garage. After parking your car, take the ticket to the garage cashier office and purchase the card.
Observe all parking signs to avoid tickets. Colloquium cannot accept responsibility for any illegal parking. Parking is strictly enforced.
If arriving by plane, there is a Capitol Metro Shuttle betweem Austin Bergstrom International Airport and the University. The Cap Metro Airport Flyer (BUS 100) offers a one-way fare of $1.50. The 100 bus drops off at San Jacinto and 23rd street, near the Texas Memorial Stadium. For more information on the schedule and route, please visit the Capital Metro website.

Another option for arriving by bus is to utilize MegaBus. MegaBus is used by many of our current UT students and can be an economical and easy way to arrive on campus. It arrives blocks away from the Jester Center on Whitis Avenue between W 20th Street and W 21st Street. This information is provided as a courtesy to our participants. We encourage all participants to make travel arrangements that are most convenient for you.
If you drive yourself to campus, you must leave your car parked in the garage for the duration of the Colloquium. Limited parking is available in the Brazos Garage for a special three-day rate of $30 dollars.
If you make any changes in your travel plans, notify us by updating your Travel Information through Friday, July 17, 2015. After this day, please call the Honors Colloquium office at 512-471-6524.
