New Archer Fellows Selected

30 students from the University of Texas at Austin have been selected to live, work and study for a semester in Washington, D.C. Students applied for the highly competitive Bill Archer Fellow Program program in mid-February. The program helps motivated and accomplished students participate in internships and take classes on policymaking, economics, and advocacy. The program’s mission is to “educate the next generation of leaders from Texas for service in local, state, federal, and international service.”

  • The House Committee on International Relations
  • The World Bank
  • The Senate Committee on Environment and Public Works
  • The Senate Foreign Relations Committee
  • The National Endowment for the Arts
  • Various United Nations organizations
  • Various news organizations, including NBC, ABC, NPR, CBS and CNN
  • The White House Office of the First Lady
  • The Gates Foundation
  • The National Organization for Women
  • The Brookings Institute
  • Various embassies, including Gambia, Germany, and Lithuania
