BDP & Longhorn Scholars graduate to Teach for America

Ashley Lemell, a recent graduate of the Bridging Disciplines Programs (BDP) and a Longhorn Scholar, was selected from a record 35,000 individuals who applied for Teach For America this year. Ashley will be teaching ninth grade biology at Peak Preparatory, a charter school located in East Dallas.(read more)

BDP class explores video game industry

Students in the Digital Arts & Media concentration of the Bridging Disciplines Programs earned industry experience in a spring 2009 game-development interdisciplinary course. Bruce Pennycook, who led the pilot class, collaborated with industry professionals and UT faculty.(read more)

Undergraduate Studies creates award for core curriculum innovation

The School of Undergraduate Studies has announced plans to create a new annual award to be called the Cale McDowell Award for Innovation in Undergraduate Studies. (read more)
