Giving Away 100 Grand

Ethics and the Art of Giving is a philosophy course with a philanthropic twist. An anonymous foundation approached Dean Woodruff about donating $100,000 toward it. If UT would offer the course, the students could choose at the course’s end where to give that money away. (via the Alcalde)(read more)

A research team in the School of Undergraduate Studies (UGS) at The University of Texas at Austin has received a $150,000 Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board (THECB) grant to develop a set of online training modules for Texas educators. (read more)
