Why and How to Include Undergraduates in Your Research
In addition to the benefits for students of working with faculty on research, there are a variety of benefits for faculty of becoming a mentor for an undergraduate researcher.

You may also wish to learn more about the possible models for faculty mentorship of undergraduates. To help you make the most out of your mentorship experience, we provide resources on best practices in undergraduate mentoring.

Course Credit for Undergraduate Research
Faculty and academic advisors can access information about how students can earn course credit for engaging in undergraduate research.

Finding an Undergraduate Researcher
Faculty who want to know more about finding student assistants can refer to our guide for using EUREKA, UT’s online database of undergraduate research opportunities.

Summer Research Scholars
The Summer Research Scholars program provides academic support to the exceptional undergraduate students who are admitted to our most selective summer research programs at UT Austin. Coordinators and PIs for summer undergraduate research programs can find more information about the Summer Research Scholar program.

Arranging a Research Workshop
Contact the Office of Undergraduate Research if you would like to bring a student research workshop to your class, First-year Interest Group, or student group. We can tailor our information and materials to your students’ needs and levels of experience.
