Poster Design Classes and Workshops

The Office of Undergraduate Research offers a series of poster design classes and workshops in the fall and spring semesters, open to any undergraduates who are interested in creating a poster about their research.

The Poster Design Class covers suggested poster content, design guidelines and timelines, what to expect at a poster session, and tips for how to give an effective poster presentation. The Poster-making Workshop covers using PowerPoint to create your poster and will give you the opportunity to practice formatting, enter your own content, and receive feedback on your draft. If you already have a rough draft, please bring it along!

We recommend that you attend both a Poster Design Class and a Poster-making Workshop. You should schedule your Workshop for after you have attended the Design Class. Please RSVP by emailing uresearch@austin.utexas.edu or calling 512-471-5949.

Blackboard

Students who attend poster design workshops will be added to the Office of Undergraduate Research Blackboard site where they can access the workshop presentation and poster templates. If you are unable to attend a workshop and would like to request access, please email us or call 512-471-5949.
