UGS Ambassadors

School of Undergraduate Studies (UGS) Ambassadors share their experiences in UGS with prospective students, current UT students, and the UT community. They represent the school at outreach events, such as UGS information sessions, and assist with various school events. We provide training on each program to complement the Ambassadors’ unique perspectives.

Positions for 2014-15 are available beginning May 2014. Although positions typically extend through May 2015, reappointments are processed each semester (summer, fall, spring) based on performance and availability.

Position Requirements

Ambassadors must be current undergraduate students in good academic and disciplinary standing with the university. They are expected to be familiar with all of the programs and services of the School of Undergraduate Studies and to share that information with a variety of audiences in a professional manner.

UGS Ambassadors will be assigned to events at the discretion of the Student Development and Outreach Specialist, who will survey Ambassadors regarding their availability at the beginnings of semesters and as needed. Ambassadors are paid an hourly rate and are appointed as Student Assistants.
