UGS Ambassadors

UGS Student Ambassadors share their experiences in Undergraduate Studies with prospective students, current UT students, and the UT community. They represent the school at outreach events, and also assist with various UGS programs. We provide training on each program to complement the Ambassadors’ unique perspectives.

Position requirements

Candidates must be current undergraduate students in good academic and disciplinary standing with the university. Ambassador positions for 2009-10 begin June 1, 2009 and typically extend through May 2010.

Each semester, Ambassadors are expected to work a number of events, including Orientation, Longhorn Saturdays, UGS admissions sessions, and Family Weekend. Ambassadors meeting all of the requirements of the position receive a stipend of $250 for each semester worked (typically summer, fall, and spring).
