The fall 2024 TrIG Mentor Application is now live! The deadline to apply is Nov. 5, 2023.
As a TrIG mentor, you will work closely with your staff facilitator to lead discussion seminars designed to help new transfer students successfully transition to The University of Texas at Austin.
- Gain leadership experience while guiding transfer students through the adjustment to a new level of academic rigor
- Share your knowledge about campus opportunities and connect students with campus resources
- Form professional relationships with advisors, faculty, and staff
- Pass your Longhorn spirit and enthusiasm on to new transfer students
TrIG mentors lead regularly scheduled, one-hour seminars; provide individual and small group mentorship; and organize educational and social activities to help students become better acquainted with each other, faculty members, and the UT Austin community.
