Poster Design Workshops

The Office of Undergraduate Research offers a series of poster design workshops in the spring semester, open to any undergraduates who are interested in creating a poster about their research. The workshops will cover poster content, design guidelines, and timelines, and you will get some hands-on practice with formatting your poster. You will also learn what to expect at a poster session and receive tips on how to give an effective presentation.

Spring 2012

Poster design workshops will be held in FAC 327 on the following dates:

  • Thursday, Feb. 16, 1:30-3 p.m.
  • Friday, Feb. 17, 1-2:30 p.m.
  • Wednesday, Feb. 22, 10-11:30 a.m.
  • Thursday, Feb. 23, 3-4:30 p.m.
  • Monday, Feb. 27, 1-2:30 p.m.
  • Wednesday, Feb. 29, 10-11:30 a.m.
  • Friday, March 2, 1-2:30 p.m.
  • Monday, March 5, 10-11:30 a.m.
  • Monday, March 5, 1-2:30 p.m.
  • Thursday, March 22, 3-4:30 p.m.
  • Friday, March 23 1-2:30 p.m.

Each workshop is limited to 15 participants. Please RSVP by emailing uresearch@austin.utexas.edu.

Blackboard

Students who attend poster design workshops will be added to the Office of Undergraduate Research Blackboard site where they can access the workshop presentation and poster templates. If you are unable to attend a workshop and would like to request access, please email uresearch@austin.utexas.edu or call 512-471-5949.
