Carnegie Endowment Junior Fellows Program

Each year the Carnegie Endowment offers eight to ten year-long fellowships to uniquely qualified graduating seniors and individuals who have graduated during the past academic year. Fellows are selected from a pool of nominees from close to 400 colleges, and work as research assistants to the Endowment’s senior associates.

The University of Texas at Austin has been invited to nominate qualified students to be considered for the program. A committee of faculty and staff will review applications and select up to two nominees for the national competition. The Endowment does not accept applications directly from students.

Eligibility

To be considered, students must

  • be a current University of Texas at Austin senior or alumnus/a who has graduated within the past academic year
  • not have started graduate studies
  • have completed a significant amount of course work in international affairs, political science, economics, history, Russian, Chinese, Middle East studies, and/or communications
