Yes. Mortar Board makes a call for new member applications at the beginning of the spring semester. All students who met the eligibility requirements are encouraged to apply.
What are the membership eligibility requirements?
Students are eligible to apply if they will enter their graduating year at The University of Texas at Austin in the fall after induction, if they have at least 75 credit hours by induction and are in the top 10% class rank. The GPA cutoff for the top 10% is calculated and released with the application information.

Applications are evaluated carefully by the Mortar Board election committee to select those who most exemplify the Mortar Board ideals of scholarship, leadership and service.
