Applying

February 19, 2010 is the application deadline for Fall 2010 or Spring 2011.

Selection is very competitive. Applicants will be assessed based on relevant coursework, leadership experiences, and participation in internships, research, organizations, and professional and volunteer settings.

All undergraduates meeting the eligibility requirements are encouraged to apply. Because the courses count as in-residence credit, graduating seniors may participate during their final semesters.

After applications are reviewed, finalists will be selected to interview with a selection panel consisting of five or six people, including UT faculty and staff and the director and/or program coordinator of the Archer Center. Interview dates are in early March, before Spring Break. You must interview in person. The selection committee expects to select about ten students for each semester, and may also designate alternates.

If you will be studying abroad in Spring 2010, and therefore will not be present during the interview portion, please contact Katrina Kosted before November 1, 2009 about submitting an application and interviewing in November 2009. You will be required to submit documentation that you will be studying abroad.
