Cost to Participate

Archer Fellows will pay a $3,300 program fee in lieu of the usual UT Austin tuition. This program fee is less than what UT Austin students pay for standard flat-rate tuition. Your tuition savings will be at least $960.

The 2009-2010 cost for Archer Program housing is $4,100 per person for the semester. Meals are not included. Students will have costs associated with books, living expenses, and transportation within Washington, D.C.

Financing your semester in Washington, D.C.

Because you will be registered as a full-time, in-residence UT Austin student, all financial aid you ordinarily receive will apply. Archer Fellows are encouraged to file a Special/Unusual Circumstances Appeal Form to have their financial aid package re-evaluated to take into account the higher cost of living in Washington, D.C.

The Archer Center provides one round-trip ticket from Texas to Washington, D.C. to each Archer Fellow.
