An Evening with Blake Mycoskie

The annual Texas Cowboys Lectureship presents Blake Mycoskie, founder of TOMS and New York Times Best-Selling Author. This event is free with UT ID. Seating is 1st come, 1st served, and priority will be given to current UT students. Doors open at 7pm and the lecture beings at 7:30pm. Blake Mycoskie is the Founder and Chief Shoe Giver of TOMS, and the person behind the idea of One for One, which has turned into a global movement. Since it began in 2006, TOMS has given ten million pairs of new shoes to children in need. The company also recently expanded its unique business model to include TOMS Eyewear, helping to save and restore sight to more than 150,000 people in need around the world. Texas Cowboys' mission is to serve the University of Texas at Austin by promoting the spirit and high ideals of the Texas Cowboys, fostering positive relationships among all members of the University community, and assisting in the guidance of the campus Cowboy organization. The Texas Cowboys Lectureship has recently featured notable speakers including Marcus Luttrell, Dewey Bozella, Aron Ralston and Don Shula.
