¡Vive Latino!

Join MACC for an evening celebrating the Latino culture with live music featuring Afro-Latino rock band Making Movies. Built upon a heavy foundation of Afro-Latino rhythms, they have created a bilingual, psychedelic re-envisioning of the Latin American “son.” Brothers Enrique Chi, singer/guitarist, and Diego Chi, bassist, grew up in Panama with strong influence from rock and traditional salsa, merengue, and cumbia sounds. In 2009, Making Movies was formed in Kansas City with the addition of percussionist Juan-Carlos Chaurand, and drummer Brendan Culp. Traditional antojitos (Mexican munchies) will be provided.
