a renaissance style dinner comedy

Join us for Madrigal Dinner 2012, a grand Renaissance-themed dinner theatre experience in the Texas Union Ballroom! Enjoy an original comedic play, choir concert, and a four-course meal, all for the price of entry.

Madrigal Dinner will be held on the nights of Thursday, Friday and Saturday, November 29th, November 30th and December 1st, 2012. A cash bar will be available starting at 5:30pm. Show starts at 6:30pm.


Tickets for the annual Madrigal Dinner are on sale October 23rd through November 27th at TexasBoxOffice.com or in person at the Frank Erwin Center, 1701 Red River St. — Tickets CANNOT be purchased through the Texas Union.

A very limited number of tickets will be available at the door. Purchase your tickets in advance for best seating!

General Public Tickets: $32, $30 and $28

Discounted UT Student Tickets: $18, $16 and $14

You must present your current University of Texas STUDENT I.D. at the door to enter with a discounted student ticket.
* Please note: The difference in price of a comparable non-student ticket must be paid at the door if ticket-holder does not possess a current University of Texas student I.D.


Madrigal Dinner Menu
Please select your main course dinner option at time of purchase.

Meat option
Beef Bourguignon - beef tips braised in red wine with
button mushrooms, pearl onions and carrots.

Vegetarian option
Portobello mushrooms filled with spinach, mushrooms, onions, garlic,
ricotta cheese and topped with Parmesan cheese.

The meal starts with Bread and drinks, including Wassail, followed by Mixed Greens (with Roma tomatoes, toasted walnuts, garlic croutons and a choice of raspberry vinaigrette or ranch dressing).

Both main course options are served with Green Beans with toasted almonds and Roasted Rosemary Potatoes.
Dessert for the evening will be the traditional Chocolate Chip Bread Pudding with a warm whiskey sauce.
