Job Certification and Evaluation Impact
Below are two examples of an Annual Performance Evaluation. Example 1 shows what
an evaluation would look like if you DO NOT become certified in your current position and Example 2 shows what
your evaluation would look like if you DO become certified in your current position.
According to Example 1, if you did not complete the training your overall score would be 2.55. This score, multiplied by the Merit Recommendation Percentage (3% pool divided by 2.3988 Group Average) would equate the average merit recommendation to 3.19%.
However, if you did complete the training such as Example 2 shows, the overall score would be 2.73. This score, multiplied by the Merit Recommendation Percentage (3% pool divided by 2.3988 Group Average) would equate the average merit recommendation to 3.35%
Example by Salary
If your annual salary is 32,000 multiply this by 3.19% and you would get $1,021 (if you did not complete the training).
If your annual salary is 32,000 multiply this by 3.35% and you would get $1,072 (if you did complete the training).
- If you DID NOT complete the training, according to our example, your overall score would be a 2.55. Take that score, multiplied by the Pool Average (2.3988) and you get 3.19%
- If you DID complete the training, according to our example, your overall score would be a 2.73. This new score, multiplied by the Pool Average (2.3988), would make a new percentage of 3.35%.
If your annual salary is 43,000 multiply this by 3.19% and you would get $1,371 (if you did not complete the training).
If your annual salary is 43,000 multiply this by 3.35% and you would get $1,441 (if you did complete the training)
Example 1 - without Certification
Notice: You would receive a score of 1 in the "Certified for the Position" slot and notice the Overall Average is 2.55
