Desk Copy Policy

The University of Texas Press offers complimentary desk copies to course instructors who have adopted a UT Press book for their class, minimum enrollment of ten students. Instructors may request one copy per 50 students enrolled (10-50 students: one copy; 51-100 students: two copies; etc.). (Faculty who want to consider a book for adoption should order through our examination copy request form.)

Before we can send a desk copy, we must receive a request from the instructor and a minimum, confirmed order of ten copies per title from the campus bookstore. If additional copies are needed for assistants, they may be purchased, in advance, at a 20% discount. All requests are subject to approval. It will take four to six weeks for your book(s) to arrive. Rush shipping is available, but only at an extra fee, which must be paid in advance. We will not invoice for rush charges.
