Examination Copy Policy and Order Form

The University of Texas Press offers examination copies of its books to qualified instructors of appropriate courses. All requests are subject to approval. There is a limit of three print examination copies per instructor per semester.

If you would like to review a University of Texas Press book for course adoption, please complete the form below. (If you have already decided to adopt a book and would like a desk copy, use our desk copy form after you place the bookstore order.) You may also mail payment and the requested information on departmental letterhead to the following address:

Note: It will take four to six weeks for your book(s) to arrive.

In order to receive copies faster, instructors at universities in Canada should order their examination copies directly from our Canadian distributor by sending their request on departmental letterhead to CODASAT, c/o University of Toronto Press Inc., 5201 Dufferin Street, Toronto, Ontario, M3H 5T8, or fax to 1-800-221-9985. Instructors at universities in the United Kingdom or Europe should order examination copies through our distributor, Combined Academic Publishers Ltd.

Policy for books listed at $35.00 or less: Examination copies are provided to qualified instructors at a $5.00 nonrefundable fee per copy, paid in advance. There are no additional charges for shipping.

We do not provide examination copies of books whose list price is greater than $35.00, with the following exceptions:
