The Southwestern Writers Collection Series originates from the Wittliff Collections, a repository of literature, film, music, and southwestern and Mexican photography established at Texas State University-San Marcos. Bill Wittliff was the initial series editor. Connie Todd served as the series editor from 1998 until 2008; Steven L. Davis became the series editor in 2008.
