The speed of communication, of information sharing, of academic progress continues to accelerate at astonishing rates. Technology has become a ubiquitous presence and a vital necessity on academic campuses, in business parks and in households worldwide. Keeping up with this growth and these advancements is one of the true challenges of the 21st Century, for organizations and individuals alike.
The Office of the Vice President for Information Technology is responsible for managing and sustaining the core technology and computer resources at the university. These resources function to support and enhance the educational and research missions of our campus community.
This Web site describes the wide range of services, initiatives, projects and people that make up Information Technology Services (ITS), the Information Security Office (ISO) and the Office of Telecommunication Services (OTS). These three components all contribute to the future of technology on our campus, in our state and around the world. We look forward to the journey ahead and to playing a part, however big or small, in the future of technology in the great state of Texas.
