Burnt orange and white are the official colors of the university. The burnt orange used on the university's home page and Web templates is color #CC5500. The university's Visual Guidelines have corresponding information on PMS colors for burnt orange print work.
Burnt orange can be a challenging color to work with; a suggested complementary color palette is shown below with the corresponding color codes. The Web Central example templates all use a common set of these complementary colors. For best results, ask a designer to choose a few colors from this palette or try one of the ready-made color schemes below.

These colors are not "Web-safe colors" The concept of the "Web-safe" color palette is no longer applicable because well over 98% of users can support more than 256 colors.
