Core Curriculum Task Force Members

Formed in Fall 2025 at the direction of President Jim Davis, the Core Curriculum Task Force undertook a thorough, yearlong review of the University’s existing general education curriculum and outlined a new version of the Core worthy of UT Austin as one of the nation’s leading public universities. With input from students, deans, other faculty, and respected academic leaders from other universities, the task force found that since its last review over 20 years ago, the current core has deviated from its original purpose and quality.
