The Evolution of the Brand Identity
The university's brand identity has evolved through the years, not always mindfully. Here's a look at how it has changed over time.
The New Academic Identity System is developed. The primary mark is comprised of three parts: the shield graphic, “Texas,” and the official university name. The new system is highly flexible and extensible, allowing colleges, schools, units and programs across campus to become part of the system.
The wordmark is updated.
Identity system is established. In 2004, "What Starts Here" brand positioning is established.
A period of "accidental branding"
