2011 Leadership Symposium

The 2011 Leadership Symposium will take place on Tuesday, May 10, 2011, in the Texas Union of The University of Texas at Austin. The symposium will feature keynote addresses by Angela Valenzuela (UT Austin) and Ernesto Nieto and Gloria de Leon (National Hispanic Institute). Presentations will focus on professional development, educational advancement, and personal wellness.
The goal of the Leadership Symposium is for participants to gain the innovative ideas and tools that will help them become more effective and efficient leaders. Information sharing, skill development, and networking opportunities are important features of the Leadership Symposium and empower individuals to make a positive difference within our global society.
Registration is FREE, however the on-line registration system will close at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 5, 2011. Advance registration ensures accurate facility accommodations for session and keynote addresses.
The 2011 Leadership Symposium is sponsored by the Hispanic Faculty/Staff Association, the Office of the President, the Office of the Vice President for Research, the Cockrell School of Engineering, the College of Education, the Graduate School, the Lyndon B. Johnson School of Public Affairs, the School of Information, and the Center for Mexican American Studies, and the University Federal Credit Union.
