Based on multi-site ethnography in Mexico and the Washington, D.C. area, this portfolio plática by G. G. Sue Kasun is a doctoral candidate in the Department of Curriculum and Instruction (Cultural Studies in Education) with a Graduate Portfolio in Mexican American Studies. The chair of her dissertation committee is Luis Urrieta, Jr., Associate Professor in the Department of Curriculum and Instruction.
