Mon, September 23, 2013 • 7:00 PM - 9:00 PM • EAS Auditorium, Edgar A. Smith Building, Blanton Museum of Art, The University of Texas at Austin

The Texas Institute for Literary & Textual Studies (TILTS) welcomes Pulitzer Prize-winning author Junot Díaz to The University of Texas at Austin.

Featuring prose that is “irresistible” and “exhilarating,” Díaz's fiction is at the forefront of contemporary narratives of this kind. His work illuminates the identities, relationships, and ambitions of  the Dominican and Dominican American characters at the center of his stories.

Díaz will read a selection from his critically acclaimed texts with a Question and Answer session to follow. A reception will be held on the mezzanine after the reading. Seating is limited so please arrive early.

Sponsored by the Office of the President, the Executive Vice Presdient and Provost, the College of Liberal Arts, the Department of English, the John L. Warfield Center for African & African American Studies, the Center for Mexican American Studies, the Harry Ransom Center, and the LLILAS Benson Latin American Studies and Collections.
