Austin Celebrates “A Day of Unity and Friendship of the Slavic People”
Present-day Slavic people are classified into East Slavic (chiefly Belarusians, Russians and Ukrainians), West Slavic (mainly Poles, Czechs and Slovaks), and South Slavic (including Bosniaks, Bulgarians, Croats, Macedonians, Montenegrins, Serbs and Slovenes). Although we are all different and unique, we all join to celebrate and share our cultures and heritage on “Slavic Day”. Join us for presentations and enjoy music by the Flying Balalaika Brothers and special Slavic delicacies!
The celebration will be held at the Brass House, located at 115 San Jacinto Boulevard, starting at 5:30 PM. Prospective attendees will need to RSVP here. There is no cost to attend.
